As one enters the Symphony Farms subdivision in December, you will be greeted with lights and decorations. For several years, a family within the community has hung lights and wreaths along the fence by the Clubhouse and the Barn. It is a wonderful way to start the Christmas lights display of the area. Many homeowners have decorated their front door and porch. And some neighbors have a contest decorating their front yard.
Santa Claus has been stopping by the Clubhouse in Symphony Farms since 2021. Last year, kids of all ages could have hot chocolate with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Everyone had fun working on an activity, meeting new neighbors and friends, and chatting with Santa Claus. The Clubhouse is festive. And a perfect background for pictures and selfies.
Each July 4th you will see an abundance of red, white, and blue. The morning starts with a parade through the neighborhood. Young and old have decorated their scooters, bicycles, and vehicles. For those that prefer to watch, they have their lawn chairs set up in the driveway ready to wave to all passing by. Throughout the day, you will find picnics, sparklers, and everyone enjoying themselves. And in the evening, you can see the firework display that the City of Gardner puts on in Celebration Park.
In October, the 100 year-old Barn is converted into the Haunted Barn. The inside is decorated with lots of cobwebs, skeletons, a werewolf, and tombstones. Everyone has a great time. On Halloween, the sidewalks are full of people of all ages, in costumes, going from door to door trick or treating. It is a site to see!
We love that our homeowners have a passion for celebrating and share that enthusiasm with the Symphony Farms community in Gardner, Kansas! No matter the time of the year, there is always something exciting to take part in. As the subdivision grows, so does the list of events. There are a few more plans in the works and we cannot wait to see what our homeowners put together!
